stop global warming
I learned that even if we would stop emitting greenhouse gases today the temperture would still increase by a degree or two. Scientist are saying what we do will either let it stay at only raising a degree or two or if we dont stop letting is raise up to ten degrees. There are other cause for global warming but the biggest cause is the greenhouse gases so if we can stop emitting them into the earth we would be helping the planet alot! We could also not use our cars and walk everywhere that would help alot to but people these days are not willing to do things like this to help better the planet!

I think this picture really illustrate the fact that the ice is melting and making smaller pieces. The ice is how the animals move around they reley on the fact that the ice can hold them. Now they are not so sure so its harder for them to capture food.

Global warming is making the average tempature in the artic areas rise, which is then leading to the melting of glaciers,ice bergs. When the glaciers and ice bergs melt it will cause flooding. Flooding can cause millions of people to become homeless because there houses got flooded. Also global warming affects the animals who live in the polar regions because with the ice melting it is making it harder for animals to hunt and catch food.

What is global warming doing to our planet?
Global warming is when the temperature slowly rises. Global warming harms many humans, animals, plants when dangerous gases are released into the air. These gases make it possible that human life can occur on earth, but if to many of these gases get released then earth will get unusually warm. Global warming makes the sea rises and when the sea rises it drys out land then we lose water resources. global warming in killing rain forest and algae. Acid rain was traced to why rain forest and algae. Ice glaciers are melting because the temperature is rising and melting the ice. The coral reef is getting hit hard by global warming because the reef is fading in color and some of it is dying off. We need to fix this problem!

How can you help?
How can you help?
Leukemia does not have a cure. We just dont have the knowledge right now to find a cure. Scientist are working everyday to try and find a cure putting different medicines together. Everything helps and counts when it comes to helping find a cure to stop the spread of leukemia. You could donate money, just tell people about how bad we need to help find a cure that way all these people have a chance of living, you could refer someone who wants to help to an organization that is already started. The leukemia and lymphoma society invest sixety one million dollars and spreads that money to 200 different researchers who are trying to find a cure. Also some of this money goes to help support the patients who dont have money to pay for some of there treatment. This society does not recieve any money from the federal goverment so they depend on the people who are so giving to donate money.

Who is at risk of getting leukemia?
A risk factor is something that increases your risk in getting a something. Some risk factor for leukemia are smoking or even being around somone who is smoking. Exposure to high levels of radiations is also a risk factor. Example people who were around the atomic bomb in Japan during world was 2 have higher risks of getting certain kinds of leukemia. Exposure to chemicals such as benzyme and formakdehyde, people who are around these chemicals have higher risk of certain types of leukemia than others. The places where you would be around these chemicals would be at a work if your work deals with chemicals be extra careful cause they are a risk factor.
I found a video on youtube and it was about a boy named Gavin and he had leukemia and someone put a slide show of picture throughout of hs joruney with leukemia and at the end it says that they are lucky that he is still alive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfaomKddHKw. The way they put this together is amazing the music choice they used was perfect to they pictures and to the situation.

What it does to your body!
What does luekemia do to your body?
When you have leukemia it is really hard for you to stay healthy and fight infections. You could go outside and be out there on a bit of a chilly day, and then next day you would have a cold just from being outside for a half hour or so. The reason you get so sick is because your body doesn't make the white blodd cells and those are the cells that help fight the infections. This disease makes you tired, not hungry, always sick, in the hospitol all the time, and most of the time you die from having. It would be a miracle if you lived from having luekemia.
This picture is by google images. In the picture this girl has things tape to her head. She is sleeping cause she is tired. And her eyes are all bruised. This little girl is probably in the last stages of the disease. I really hope they find a cure for this disease because I don't think anyone should have to go through this.

Luekemia is a cancer that affects blood forming cells. This cancer starts in the bone marrow and spreads quickly into other parts of your body. Both children and adults can develop luekemia and there is really no way to prevent it. Today there is kemothearpy that you can go through but the chance of you living with this disease is very slim! My cousin had luekemia, he got it when he was three and he lived until he was five. That was when getting luekemia was knew and kind of rare. Now you live longer then two years if you catch it when it starts not when you have had it for about a month or two. Researches dont really know what really causes this disease but researches say smoking is about 20% the cause of it. There are different types of luekemia that amount different things.
